The IGOID Group has evolved into several lines of research, all supported by Research, Transfer, and Innovation through scientific and informative articles, competitive projects, contracts, and the development of doctoral theses.

The IGOID Group can address any research or contract with a public or private company in its various lines of work, and can undertake projects ranging from the purest research field to specialized service contracts through its spin-off, IGOID-SPORTEC.


FIFA Research Institute for Technology and Innovation in Football

Our Sports Organization and Facility Management Research Group at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) has been incorporated as a FIFA Research Institute for Technology and Innovation in Football, an initiative of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) that brings together the world’s leading research centers to promote scientific and technological advancement in the field of football.

With this designation, we reaffirm our experience and capacity in researching and evaluating football-related technologies in accordance with the rigorous standards of the FIFA Quality Programme.

Our group thus positions itself at the forefront of football research, collaborating closely with FIFA to drive significant advances in equipment and technology within the sport.


Doctoral theses and articles

At IGOID, research is a fundamental pillar for promoting knowledge and innovation in sports facility management.

Through advanced research projects, doctoral theses are developed that address current issues and challenges in the sports field, contributing to scientific and professional advancement in this sector.

PhD students have the opportunity to work collaboratively with experts, access cutting-edge facilities, and generate applicable solutions that improve the efficiency and sustainability of sports infrastructure.
